Next week brings one of the most anticipated events of the San Antonio foodie community - San Antonio Flavor. The event brings 25 local restaurants under one roof for an evening of culinary delight. The event also features the Whole Foods Market Showdown, where four top chefs partner with four local celebrities for a cook-off. The highly anticipated 2nd San Antonio Flavor event returns March 5, 2015 from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. and this time with an Alamo City twist! San Antonio Flavorcelebrates the local culinary scene by bringing together San Antonio restaurants who lead the foodie scene in our city. Select beer, wine and cocktails add to the VIP-style soiree that is, San Antonio Flavor.
Last year the inaugural San Antonio Flavor event brought in over 1000 foodies from around the city. Food and drink lovers enjoyed the top, most highly regarded restaurants and bars in San Antonio.
The Whole Foods Market Culinary Showdown is the highlight of Flavor this year. A top chef from San Antonio will pair up with a local celebrity to create a unique, mouth-watering dish. Each team will have 30 minutes to stir up a winning quick-fire dish to impress our judges. The winning duo wins bragging right for years to come!
A panel of expert food judges, along with a selection of audience judges will choose the winning team. A limited number of raffle tickets will be sold before and during the event to give our guests a chance to be a judge on stage. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from the raffle will go to Culinaria.
Culinaria is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to promoting San Antonio as a premier food destination while fostering community growth and enrichment. Culinaria also supports local students pursuing a degree in culinary arts.
